Karen is the creator of three TreasureTroves for teachers. She is a past Franklin Science Institute Online Fellow and has been involved in curriculum writing opportunities with the NECTAR Foundation. One of Karen's lifelong objectives has been to enhance her students' learning experiences using collaboration and sharing. Publishing her material online is both a challenging and very exciting adventure!

Some of Karen's highlights include being the recipient of an Eastman Kodak Technology In Education school grant, Canada's SchoolNet Grassroots Grants and the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board's Director of Education Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Karen is particularly interested in how we, as educators, can infuse effective curriculum implementation with the use of technology in the classroom. As a result, a great deal of her work is project-based. This has proven to have been the most effective way to collaborate with both colleagues near and far, and to actively involve her students in all stages of project planning, development and the implementation process.
Thank-you for visiting Karen's Classroom. I am thrilled about creating these products and hope that you will find them to be a valuable addition to your professional library!
